Displaced Icons
This flag series replicates pedestrian navigation into fractured and fragmented compositions with pattern influences of crosswalks and the street grid. Directional cues alternate in the flag series to illustrate calamity of the urban environment. The flag installation atop the Lillstreet Art Center dramatizes the sense of icon displacement.
